us about your Catwoman project.
Oh, it's just some lines I wrote down as a reminder for myself when I'm good enough to deal with DC Comics (and have a free enough schedule, of course). I drew three pages just for fun a year ago. All this sleeps in a folder now.
So these three pages aren't up on your site?

Now you've made me all curious. Okay, speaking of your website, there's a pretty nice collection of your works. Do you have a favourite piece?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It… changes everyday. I have a few I especially like, because they're linked to slight evolutions in my work only I can see, or because of interesting compositions, or new colour schemes... In the oldies, This Way Buddha is something to me -- the first “big” piece. But after that, I love a lot of them (narcissistic, one could say, but hey, I'm one of my favorite pencillers. And being his own favourite is true for every artist I think... but maybe I'm wrong.)
What inspired This Way Buddha?
This Way Buddha, like MOST of the pieces, was UN-INSPIRED. Actually, I only let my brain go as if it were dreaming; you know, when you dream, scientists say it's your brain organizing random memories, yeah? For an illo I work the same way. I let myself remember things, music I enjoy (and what they bring with them: places, atmospheres, etc.) and things I hear here and there during the day...
There
was no sudden flash of brilliance?
Mmmmmmmmmmm, all this process happened in a flash, you know, it's not as if I was thinking before drawing. So maybe there was one.
Well, I love This Way Buddha too. And I can't seem to figure it out. I just keep looking at it and my mind goes around in circles.
Hehe, why?
Come on, you can’t put a strangely bleached, pasty, childlike, headphone-donning Buddha and a girl with a chameleon on her back together with futuristic elements and the whole finger-pointing and not expect people to wonder.
I like to think that I spend some time on a piece and, contrary to what one may assume, the reader will spend not less, but MORE time finding out the story behind the piece.
Well, you've definitely succeeded. Is that what you try to achieve with each work? Make the viewer stop and ponder?
It's a bonus if it happens.
No expectations at all?
Not really, apart from sharing. And pleasing some people.
